There are a multitude of different considerations to make when starting off in airsoft. Choosing your gun, attachments, gas, position in the game and team mates are all important aspects which you need to be conscious of in order to get the most out of the game.
The location of the skirmishes is also a fundamentally important part of any airsofter’s experience within the sport, and being aware of nearby game sites as well as their features and specific events will help in making the choice that much easier.

Spec Ops Airsoft – Bloxworth
The first site on our list is situated in the Purbeck town of Bloxworth in Wareham Forest.
Spec Ops Airsoft (SOA) features a diverse landscape with rivers, trenches and hills all contained within the expansive and luscious North Dorset woodland.
This presents the perfect environment for players to utilise camouflage and espionage tactics, and can make for extremely tense and tactical gameplay.
In addition, SOA also hosts a range of popular events throughout the year including the weekly ‘Mercenaries’ game every Sunday.
Each year, SOA plays host to their famous event ‘Badlands’ whereby players compete over the course of a weekend in a dystopian, post-apocalyptic simulation which takes place at the site’s desert location, ‘The Rock’.

The landscape is home to a variety of different features including many sniper towers, tunnel networks, huts, sandbags and other military themed set pieces.

Ace Combat (Pembury)
The final site on our list can be found in the Kentish village of Pembury.
This skirmish location was established over ten years ago and is the ideal place for both new and experienced players to compete with each another.
Organisers at Ace Combat ensure the calendar is always kept jam packed with upcoming events throughout the year, including their G.O.D.S event which pits players against each other over a four marathon of frantic combat.
The site is also registered as a blasting area which allows players to utilise simulation pyrotechnics such as grenades and mines throughout many of the games. This makes for exciting and often unpredictable combat scenarios through the increase in weapon diversity present in the skirmishes.
