We’ve shortlisted our top 13 pieces of Airsoft Gear for you and here they are:
1. Marushin COP 357 Short Barrel Pistol
The first thing you’ll notice about this pistol is the incredibly small form factor. The COP 357 is actually a replica of the Derringer Pocket Pistol and, upon close examination, you can clearly see that, instead of just one, this tiny gun actually features a total of four barrels.
Initially this may seem like just a novelty, but the Marushin is actually a fantastic sidearm for those looking to keep weight to a minimum on the battlefield.
2. Echo1 (CAW) M134 Minigun
In terms of size, the M134 is on the other side of the spectrum. At over 16kg in weight, this behemoth of a weapon is not for the faint hearted and will take strength to use over extended periods of time.
With capacity for 1700 BBs and the inclusion of a 12v battery used in many motorbikes, this minigun is a loud, powerful and intimidating weapon which is sure to keep the enemy team at bay and provide an excellent suppressive tool (if maybe a little excessive).
3. Bone Punisher Mask
Fans of the Batman video game series will instantly recognise this iconic mask, complete with see through visor and LED eye units.
This item is hand-made from a range of materials including resin fibreglass and carbon fiber parts to achieve a durable, head turning helmet.
4. Galac Tac Armour
Staying on the theme of custom apparel, Ryan B. Flower has created ‘Galac-Tac’; a set of armour designed using ideas taken from popular sci-fi saga Star Wars.
Now, with the help of various companies including Heckler & Koch and SureFire, Ryan has managed to create a more advanced version with real ballistics armour, improved chestpeice as well as room for various attachments including a head-mounted scope.
5. Darth Vader-Esque Gas Mask
Another Star Wars inspired piece, this helmet combines elements of World War II era gas masks with the fantastical design of the famous Sith lord to create an amalgamation between the two.
Whilst not designed specifically for airsoft, this mask is an excellent choice for those looking for an eye catching addition to their equipment whilst still looking appropriate for a military themed skirmish.
6. ICS-190 GLM Grenade Launcher
Taking a step back into the realm of guns, the ICS-190 is an impressive beast capable of storing 6 shells at any one time and this, coupled with it’s light weight of just 2kg makes the weapon an excellent choice for teams looking to surprise the enemy team with sheer firepower.
Fitting attachments to this weapon is also incredibly easy and the incorporation of sites and scopes can turn this into a truly tactical choice for any team’s arsenal.
7. Airsoft Surgen ADT Metal Man Sniper Rifle
This definitely isn’t the cheapest weapon you’ll find on the market but with a high power rating of 400 fps, incredible build quality and massive potential for customisation, this is a weapon built to stand the test of time.
The gun features an ultra-solid aluminium chassis created via CNC and has even been anodised to achieve a stunning appearance.
In addition, the Metal Man also comes packed with upgradeability options including a 6-point, collapsible stock, bipod compatibility as well as a rail mounting system on top for swapping out scopes and sites to suit your needs.
8. King Arms Thompson M1928 Chicago Typewriter Airsoft Gun
This classic gun is famous for appearing in numerous gangster and World War II films and the combination of wooden and metal construction along with the striking drum-style magazine adds to the authenticity of this replica.
9. Alien Pulse Rifle
This next choice is a rather more obscure one. Taken straight out of the popular ‘Alien’ movie franchise, this weapon is a replica of the pulse rifle used by many of the soldiers as they attempt to survive against the aggressive aliens they encounter.
The pulse rifle is far more than just a prop, however, as its strong build quality, retractable stock, 190 round magazines and a rating of 380 fps make it great for use in actual games as well as being a brilliant collector’s item.
One final and rather interesting addition to this gun is the LCD counter on the side of the gun which displays how much ammo is currently in the gun. This is not only a cool feature but also helps to keep players informed of how long is left until their next reload.
10. Magpul PTS FPG Folding Pocket Gun
The PTS FPG is another highly portable pistol and this model makes use of a folding mechanism to provide owners with a compact, rectangular weapon which can be carried around easily.
After this is opened up, the folding portion of the gun doubles as an excellent stock which can be rested against the user’s chest or shoulder to achieve more accurate shots.
This weapon not only reduces the storage space required for the gun, but also increases both its functionality and performance, making it somewhat of a middle ground between conventional pistols and a single shot battle rifle.
11. Fallout inspired Replica Helmet
Fans of the Fallout 4 (a popular video game created by Bethesda) are sure to be excited about this one.
The detailed military helmet, inspired by soldiers of the post-apocalyptic wasteland is packed with a number of authentic features including wearing paint, gas mask filter, bullet hole and part number to ensure diehard fans are satisfied.
This piece of equipment is fully ready for use in airsoft featuring wire mesh and fiberglass to ensure the wearer is protected.
12. M1919 WWII American Automatic Squad Support Weapon
The M1919 is a bipod-mounted, fully automatic throwback to the machine gun used extensively during many allied battles in World War II. Many American squadrons would utilise this gun to lay down suppressing fire on enemy teams and the weapon provides the same capabilities in modern airsoft games.
The proprietary, side-mounted magazine has space for 5000 BBs, allowing the weapon to be used for long periods of time before reloading is required. At around £700, this is by no means a budget gun but a great edition for any serious team looking to add some history to their arsenal.
13. Master Chief Helmet
The final entry in this blog is an accurate replica of the iconic helmet of the Halo series’ protagonist, Master Chief. The easily identifiable green and gold helmet is painstakingly detailed with worn paint, subtle accents and intricate geometer which climate in an incredibly realistic recreation.
Fiberglass ensure the wearer is protected from extremely high powered guns (successfully tested against 500fps+) whilst wire mesh and internal high density foam provide a comfortable environment for the head, even in intense games.
These are just a few examples of the amazing equipment available to airsoft players all across the world, with countless others waiting to be found.
